ABOUT
Lizzy Arden holds a Master of Fine Arts in Book Arts + Printmaking(2019) from The University of the Arts in Philadelphia, PA. She grew up in San Diego, CA and began printing while studying for her BA with emphasis in Painting and Printmaking at San Diego State University (2016).
She currently works as a Graphic Designer/Print Assistant for SpeedPro Mission Valley, a large format printing & graphics company. She has previously worked for Brighton Press as a Studio Assistant working on fine press limited edition artist books, completed an internship at Wells Book Arts Summer Institute, and spent a few years as a freelance designer & printer.
She is based in San Diego, CA. She loves going to local swap meets and thrift stores, exploring nature, and cooking new recipes in her free time.

Carry out printing processes from file set up to print production. Working with Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Bridge, Onyx RIP Software. Printing on wide format Latex Printers-HP Latex 360 & HP Latex 570, laminate/cut/weed/mask vinyl as needed. Design and manage email campaigns and social media.

2019 Secretary & Board Member, Philadelphia Center for Book. Philadelphia, PA. To manage planning of the Philadelphia Center for the Book events and assist in other related tasks as needed. Spring 2019 Co-Teacher of Digital Printmaking, University of the Arts, Philadelphia, PA. Developed and demonstrated digital and analog projects, daily artist presentations, worked hands on with students, critiqued student work. Main instructor for final project of artist book assignment. Required students to incorporate digital and analog processes into their artist book. Organized demos, one-on-one guidance, and graded students’ final project.
March 2019 Pocket Accordion Workshop, The Soapbox: Community Print Shop & Zine Library. Philadelphia, PA. On-going workshop demonstrating Hadi Kyle’s, Accordion Pocket Book, during the 2018 Edible Book Festival.

2010-17 Workshop Instructor, Joann-Fabrics and Crafts, Lemon Grove, CA. Instructed children and adults of all ages on Make n’ Take projects. Ran regularly one a month for 6 years. Craft project was assigned by the company. Attendees were on a walk-up schedule. Classes were about 2-15 people.
